Is there a songwriter, musician, or singer within you? In this workshop, we will work on and create music.
As a participant in this workshop, you can engage in several activities:
- Write your own song lyrics
- Collaborate with others to write song lyrics
- Write poems or short stories
- Compose and create melodies
- Play instruments
- Sing
- Play in a band
- Perform at Nordic Hall with the rest of the music group
The workshop is led by a team of incredibly talented musicians and educators who will assign various tasks, provide inspiration, and guide you throughout the week.
MUSIC GENRE:
In the music workshop, we adjust to the group and work with the genres that participants are most interested in. This means you can work with various music genres at NUK, whether it be pop, rock, jazz, folk music, or something entirely different. Please mention what you are most interested in on the registration form, so we can prepare accordingly.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL:
Songwriting can be adapted for everyone and is suitable for those with no, some, or extensive experience with music. If you wish to compose, play instruments, or be in a band, it is recommended that you have some or extensive prior experience with instruments. Tasks will be tailored to each participant's level of experience and skills, and we accommodate those who do not read music by using a color notation system. You can write about your experiences in the registration form.
